Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 12, 2026 • Last Reviewed: October 2026
At UI Wheel ("uiwheel.com", "we", "us", or "our"), we are deeply committed to protecting the privacy of our visitors and users. This Privacy Policy outlines what information is received and collected when you use UI Wheel, how it is handled, and your individual rights under global data protection laws including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).
1. Client-Side Color Processing & Zero Private Data Retention
UI Wheel is designed with a privacy-first, client-side architecture. All color wheel calculations, trig angle evaluations, OKLCH conversions, WCAG 2.1 contrast formulas, and Tailwind code generation occur entirely within your local browser runtime via JavaScript and Canvas.
We do not upload, store, monitor, or transmit the custom hex codes, palette combinations, or design tokens you generate to any central server or database. Your design work remains strictly private on your device.
2. Server Log Files & Technical Diagnostics
Like virtually all modern web properties, UI Wheel automatically collects standard diagnostic log data transmitted by your browser when requesting static pages. This technical data includes:
- Internet Protocol (IP) address
- Browser type and version (e.g., Chrome, Safari, Firefox)
- Internet Service Provider (ISP)
- Referring and exit pages
- Operating system platform (e.g., macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS)
- Date and time stamps of page requests
This data is used solely to administer the site, diagnose edge-network CDN issues, defend against denial-of-service threats, and optimize loading performance. Server logs are not linked to any personally identifiable information and are periodically purged.
3. Cookies, Web Beacons & Local Storage
UI Wheel uses lightweight browser cookies and local storage tokens strictly to:
- Remember user UI preferences (such as light mode vs. dark mode theme state).
- Cache recently inspected color presets locally in your browser.
- Measure aggregate website performance and page view counts.
You can configure your browser to reject all cookies or notify you when a cookie is placed. Note that core color wheel functionality does not require cookies to operate.
4. Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising Disclosures
We may partner with third-party advertising networks, including Google AdSense, to serve contextual advertisements when you visit UI Wheel.
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on prior visits to our site or other websites across the Internet.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve targeted advertisements based on your visit to UI Wheel and other destinations on the web.
- Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings at https://adssettings.google.com.
- Alternatively, you can opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info.
5. European Privacy Rights (GDPR & UK GDPR)

6. California Consumer Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents are entitled to specific disclosures:
- Notice of Collection: We collect standard network identifiers (IP addresses and browser telemetry) strictly for web delivery and advertising.
- No Sale or Sharing of Personal Information: UI Wheel does not sell personal data. We do not exchange user information with data brokers.
- Non-Discrimination: We will never discriminate against you or reduce the functionality of UI Wheel if you exercise your California privacy rights.
